Unfortunately, for most college students, college graduation isn't exactly the best time to be spending lots of money of things that aren't necessities. Many of these websites also offer tips on how to make these personalized cards look as professional and attractive as possible. For the most part, these websites are easy to use and don't require a good deal of computer savvy or artistic skills. Users browse the websites to find an appropriate card. After choosing a card, they are prompted to enter personalized information, such as the graduate's name, date and location of event, and sometimes a personal message. For an especially nice personalized touch, look for card templates that allow users to enter a photograph of the graduate. Other personalized cards let users enter the logo or similar identifying image of the school. Free Online Invitation WebsitesAnother popular way to invite people to a graduation is through an invitation website such as eVite.com. These websites can be very handy because the person who set up the invitation to keep track of who plans to come and who does not. They are also totally paperless, unless someone chooses to print out their invitation, which saves money and is good for the environment. Websites such as eVite are very easy to use. After choosing an invitation template, the user is prompted to enter information (name, event information, and so forth). Because the information is online as opposed to on a sheet of printed paper, generally a larger amount of information will fit than on a traditional invite. The user also needs to enter the names and email addresses of the recipients, as they will receive the invites via email. Users also can easily add backgrounds and images to the cards, including photos of the graduate and school logos. A disadvantage of online invitations is that these assume that everyone who is invites will have access to a computer. Older attendees might not have access to the invitation and will have to be invited separately. In addition, many people enjoy collecting and preserving personalzied invitations, and online invites just don't have the same feel in someone's scrapbook.
